We’re pleased to be able to introduce to you ‘Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre’. Our new children’s centre has taken on the work that has been carried out over the past few years by Wellspring Children’s Centre (part of Leatherhead Trinity Children’s Centre).
We’re very excited about the appointment of Rachel Wedd as our children’s centre co-ordinator who started work at the beginning of January. Rachel brings a wealth of experience from the world of social work as well lots of ideas and creativity. She’s available from 9.00am – 5.00pm on a Thursday and Friday and Rachel would love to be able to welcome you to the children’s centre at Bookham Baptist Church. We’re able to provide friendship, support, signposting and encouragement for families with children, particularly in the pre-school age group.
As part of our offer from Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre we’re also delighted to be able to tell you about our 2 regular activities which are: Noah’s Ark Parent, carer and toddler group (Thursday’s 1.30-3pm) and Rhyme Time (Friday’s 10.30-11.00am). If you attend Rhyme time you’ll also be able to claim a free cup of coffee or tea from ‘The Meeting Place’ coffee shop. We’ll be looking to add to our offer of regular activities in coming months.
We’re also pleased to be able to offer a four week ‘The Parenting Puzzle’ course in June/July (Friday 10th, 17th June, 24th and 1st July, 9.30-11.30am) at Bookham Baptist Church. ‘The Parenting Puzzle’ is a brilliant way for anyone to develop their parenting skills and understanding (we never stop learning as parents!). Please contact the centre on 01327 811313 / email@example.com to find out more.
Little Treasures Baby group and Baby clinic (for weighing and measuring) is still available on a Thursday morning at Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre and is provided by our partners from Leatherhead Trinity Children’s Centre.
Bookham Baptist Children’s Centre will work closely going forward with Rainbow Playgroup ,‘The Meeting Place’ and Bookham Baptist Church as we seek to deliver for our village a centre of excellence in pre-school learning and family support.
