Bookham Afternoon Bridge Club continues to thrive with bridge sessions on Monday and Thursday afternoons at the Old Barn Hall. We usually have in excess of 18 tables (72 players). We take our bridge seriously but we play in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are fortunate to have such an attractive venue for our bridge.
We have participated in recent Surrey and national charity duplicate bridge sessions and have had some notable successes.
Visitors are welcome, and can apply for membership. If accepted, potential members will go on a waiting list and can play on Mondays and a limited number of Thursdays.
You can visit our website (http://www.bridgewebs.com/bookhamafternoon/) to find out more about the club.
We are pleased to be participating again in this year’s Bookham Village Day. We will have a Village Day Bridge drive on the 20th June 2016 at the Old Barn Hall, playing Duplicate Bridge. The event will start with bridge at 11am and there will be a sociable buffet lunch and glass of wine and/or soft drink at mid-session. We will continue to play after lunch. There will be prizes and a raffle. Tickets are £25 per pair and the event is open to members and visitors. The proceeds will be donated to the Old Barn Hall for the continued maintenance of the halls.
Tickets for the Village Day bridge event may be limited due to space restraints, so if you are interested you can contact me directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org . Please check our website closer to the date when tickets will become available.
